My whole family has been going to John’s in Mission Valley since Joseph started working there (he’s my godfather pretty much)….which is probably since 2010 or there abouts? So glad they have a La Mesa shop now! They really ARE the good guys. Lately we have had some real trouble with both mine and my husband’s car. And it’s been real random issues too, which are always harder to figure out and fix. And being first-time parents, it is waaaay harder to coordinate being without a car since we need a carseat and we both work. John’s has always been really understanding and good about what repairs are needed now, and what can wait. There was an instance with my husband’s dodge charger and John’s ate a large chunk of the repair costs cause just when they thought they fixed the issue, something else happened. Literally Wile E. coyote style trying to plug up the leaking dam with every finger and toe as it springs ANOTHER leak. Pretty sure they now think “oh no” when his car shoes up. Hahah. (just kidding) But they try their best to get us on our way and are fair while they do it.

As usual the service was great. I am so grateful that you followed up with me on the battery problem and even helped me deal with the Auto Zone people.

I’ve taken 2 of my vehicles to John’s Automotive Care, 2001 Toyota Solara and a 2010 Nissan Altima, and couldn’t be happier. Been a customer for a couple years (when it was Harloff Automotive) and will continue to do so. They’re fast, very efficient, professional and the customer service is Outstanding. They provide you with first hand knowledge of what’s wrong with your vehicle and inform you of what they recommend. Never pushing the customer to “get it down now” like most dealers do. They’ll let you know what needs immediate attention to what will need attention in the future. I had a vehicle inspection done here as well. They hid nothing. Everything was on paper along with pictures so that way the customer knows EXACTLY what they’re referring to. I will be a returning customer and will refer family and friends of their service. I’m new to San Diego and am thoroughly impressed with this garage. Dave, Brian and John were beyond courteous, knowledgeable and willing to accommodate my hectic schedule. After initial repairs they also took the time to carefully and clearly explain what further work needed to be done. Two thumbs way up!
