Great guys. Fun to work with and always do a great job!!

This is my new shop! I'm pretty new to San Diego and I'm so glad I found John's Automotive! I brought in my Subaru for an oil change and overall check up, and this was by far the BEST experience I have ever had in an auto shop. And I grew up around cars, my dad being a big car guy, so I've been in a fair share of shops over the years. The customer service was excellent, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and they now have a loyal customer! It's not easy to find a great shop with great prices and great service - this place has it all! Historically, shops have tried to upsell or try to show me things that now need "fixing" that were fine before. While (and luckily) I do know a bit about cars, it seems mechanics have tried to capitalize on the situation, I assume because I'm female. None of that was happening during my time here! Even the few minor things that needed attention were simply pointed out and there were no surprise fees or "extras". I felt that they were honest, helpful, and I will absolutely be back as a loyal customer and recommend this shop to everyone!

These guys are amazing! They fixed my check DRL light. Because it's a small bulb replacement, they haven't charged me for either diagnostics or for the labour. Would recommend 100%.

Easy appointment system. Easy to find. Kind and personable staff. No shaming around car care (or lack thereof) which is great for people with anxiety like myself. Communication is great and easy to follow up on. Service was efficient and fast. Shuttle service available to locals. Will be making this my new auto shop.

Jay from Johns Automotive was a pleasure to work with! He walked me though all the findings with my vehicle, and provided me 2 copies of the report from the technician. Pricing was fair, well explained and reasonable for all the work I had done on my car. The guys at this business are thorough and genuine. As a new resident of this community, I feel relieved to have found such a wonderful mechanic to trust with my car! Looking forward to returning in the future.

most people just drive their car...i'm one of them! that's why i use John's Automotive Care. they look for those soon to be problems and advise you of remedies and when repairs will be necessary. i always know my vehicle has been closely inspected and leave with confidence it is safe to continue driving. we only know when we have a battery problem when our vehicles don't start but John's Automotive Care team checks the battery and recommends replacement before we find out the hard way!!
