Happy March from our team at John's Automotive Care La Mesa!
For this month's blog, we wanted to stray away from a typical automotive blog & highlight what we are doing to promote & increase our positive company culture. This topic is rarely discussed in the automotive world, despite its importance for all businesses. If you've ever been to either of our John's Automotive Care locations, you will likely have seen how important a positive work environment is for our team & our wonderful customers. As a company, our foundation is built upon giving back to the communities that raised us, specifically within John Eppstein, the owner of John's Automotive Care. John follows the "pay it forward" approach and credits this company mindset to our success.
What does "paying it forward" truly mean? Community building. If there's one thing our team does well (besides auto repairs) it's being involved in our community. From our "Boys & Girls Club Cars for Kids" Fundraiser, the Ronald McDonald House Pop Tab Collection, our annual Toy Drive & Van Donation, it's safe to say we find value & so do our employees, through being connected to these community causes.
Here is a quote we found about the importance of company culture: "Company culture can more simply be described as the shared ethos of an organization. It's the way people feel about the work they do, the values they believe in, where they see the company going and what they're doing to get it there. Collectively, these traits represent the personality — or culture — of an organization."
When our employees feel like their ideas and values are honored at their place of work, it brings a general sense of positivity which overall benefits our business. At John's Automotive Care, we strive to create and cultivate and foster these feelings within our team.
It has been found that 74% of US employees claim company culture is essential for job satisfaction. By promoting a healthy"family-like" environment, we at John's Automotive Care improve employee retention and satisfaction. Strong company culture, in the end, is proven to attract better talent and, more importantly, retain them in the years to come.
Our strong team bond is not only helpful for our company culture, but our customers notice as well! Don't just take our word for it. Check out these reviews from our valued customers:
"This was the 2nd time I've taken my car to John's for service. They are thorough and call, text or email with updates on your vehicle while it is being serviced. I feel they are honest and that is important for a senior female. Thanks, Jay!" - D.A
"Brian was kind and very helpful. John's Automotive Care did a great job fixing the a/c issue with my car for a lesser price. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. Keep up the great work." - A.A
"Brian and the guys at John's were honest, transparent and did a great service on my vehicle that was priced more than fair. Its hard going to a new mechanic when you've used the same one for so many years. That was my circumstance and I couldn't feel more confident in finding a new mechanic going forward with John's." - B.K
"Awesome experience. Thorough vehicle inspection. Fair pricing and excellent customer service." -L.F
